Q Trainer scores :/

Published

So my nclex is scheduled for Aug 9th (just scheduled today and I'm so nervous already)

I just wanted some advice on how to proceed with my studying.'

On my Diagnostic I got a 61 and on my readiness i got a 63

So far my Q trainer scores are as follows

Q trainer 1: 64

Q trainer 2: 63

Q trainer 3: 52 (I did it at 3 am and i was really depressed at the time so i figured id do some test questions to get my mind off things. This made it so much worse tho :()

Q trainer 4: 65

I have yet to do 5 6 and 7

I know i have to remediate, but are my scores okay? have people passed with scores like these? I'm getting really scared

I think while it is understandable to want to use those scores as a gauge of readiness I could take the results with a pinch of salt. In my case, I have got scores up in the 90s in LaCharity, which is a pretty tough book and 60s in Kaplan and scores in between for others. My feeling is that a person could be getting in the 80s and still flump on test day. My advise is:

1) Have a good baseline of content in all the areas - you're never gonna know it all, that's just a fact. I just had a side effect question that gave an option of 'dyschezia' and I got it wrong because I didn't know that it means constipation. I just shrugged and moved on. With content you either know it, or you don't.

2) Have a strategy for getting to the crux of questions and stick to it to steel your confidence.

3) Remember you graduated nursing school. If you can pass those tests, you can pass this one.

=) =) =) Be encouraged man, you're one of thousands going through this and we all get through it ;)

I feel your pain tho man. I cannot wait to sit my NCLEX (in just over a month), see "PASS" on PV and have this thang over with.
