Purrfect Nursing in Las Vegas, NV

Published

Specializes in ICU.

Have you ever heard anything about Purrfect Nursing Services in Las Vegas?

I am interested in their CNA course, but no information really comes up online.

I know their course is approved by the Nevada State Board of Nursing,

but would love to know the schedule, duration, content, cost, quality, etc. of the course.

Please provide me any input.

Thank you.

The CNA class is roughly $1,195 and is 28 days long, an accelerated course. The classes are only offered in the evenings, Monday Tuesday Thursday & Friday from 6pm-10pm and Saturdays from 8am-4pm. Taking the CNA course through Purrfect Nursing you receive 3 credits from College of Southern Nevada and are eligible to take the certification exam. Unfortunately they don't accept payment plans or offer financial aid. Classes are filled quick, in order to have a guaranteed seat $400 is due ahead of time usually during the interview process and the excess is due the first day of class.

I'm getting ready to take a CNA course. Which is better, Purrfect Nursing (private school) or a Community College course?

The private school gives me 3 collegiate credits for 6 weeks of classes and the community college gives me 6 collegiate credits for 4 months of classes.

I basically am going for a CNA certificate and I just want to make sure that I take the best approach.

Thank you.

CSN for sure, private school, low regulation, you will be toys for people to play with. Nothing like you would expect. You can get kick out at anytime that what's the instructor say, might lose your money. People will be all up in your face. Kick you out for nothing. A loss. Please do yourself a favor and stick with regulated school, where no one will play jokes with you. This is from a student. Although the owner is nice but your instructor might not. over 60 years old instructor or past retired age. If it's ok with you. You're better off with a regulated program.

I loved the Purrfect Nursing Program and the instructors. The instructors were very knowledgeable and helpful. I also met my best friends while taking this course. They may say if you miss a class or you don't pass than you fail; but if you are going into nursing as a career you are going to hear that a lot from instructors, its just how it is. I for one would not like to have someone who failed or missed an important day working on me. You have to keep in mind this is an accelerated course so by missing one day you are missing a lot. That said, i recommend this place to anyone.

Excellent teaching by both RN instructors, Becky and Kitty...they really prepared us well. In the written licensing exam, I scored 100%; and I credit this to the method of teaching at Purrfect Nursing. It's an accelerated 5 week course to become a licensed Certified Nurses Assistant. Upon graduation, and receiving my license I applied at three different places, and got hired at all three! Evelyn class of 2010 fall

Do you have to have a high school diploma or GED to work as a CNA?
