Puget Sound RNs I want to hear what it's like...

Published

Hi, I am just coming off a site about finding your ideal place depending on what you like..and this little "test" told me I would like just about all the areas of Puget Sound...(and here I thought I'd have to leave WA to get what i wanted....plus SUN...)

So lets hear it...is anyone out there on this site working as an RN and living in the following areas..I'd like to hear what life is like...and how much it is sunny.

Sequim

Mt Vernon

Port Townsend (looks gorgeous)

Whidbey Island/Oak Harbor/Coupeville

I am a single parent of young kids..and a new RN. And, these places apparently have "affordable" living still........ is this true? ;) What about work...any comments? What about husband finding? LOL. Well, I mean...I'm not like desperate but lets be real here....I do want to have a LIFE ya know... I want to be able to go for bike rides..walks..light hikes etc..camping..etc... fresh air..sunshine...and stuff like that...theater...arts...etc..too.... .....good private schools for the kids (or...something like that)..Yep. i want it all! :w00t:

I will welcome private messages too.

Sequim and Port Townsend means quite a drive for work. If concerned about schools, cross off PT. If in Sequim, you would most likely be commuting to Port Angeles for hospital work (actually, not that far, but still a commute). Given you want outdoor activities and men, pick Whidbey Island. Lots of scenery, hospital places to ride bikes and the Navy!

 Men..well...not sure I'd want to go the military men route again  But thanks for the information anyway! I'll look into the jobs etc from Sequim as, I keep hearing the name of that town over and over and over again for some reason....people keep speaking it into my life. Maybe it's a sign. Who knows. I'm wondering how bad a drive/how long etc it would be from Sequim? thanks
