Hi there,

I am a third year student nurse in BC considering going into public health. Unfortunately, I was unable to get an ESN position this Summer so my only opportunity to get some experience is to get a public health preceptorship in 4th year. I was wondering what the job outlook is like right now for PHNs in BC? And if the preceptorship might be enough to help me get a job in public health right after grad? Is it common for new grads to be hired with just preceptorship experience? I am worried that without an ESN experience this Summer, I will be at a pretty big disadvantage. Any help/advice would be appreciated, thank you! :)
