Public Health Nurse

Does anyone work for the department of health and mental hygiene as a nurse? I've gone through the long rigorous process of being interviewed, signed numerous documents, fingerprinted, and I've taken my ID picture. How long did it take for you to be contacted with a start date? Any information will be helpful.

Is this for the school nurse position? the only Public Health Nurse positions i have seen posted by the NYC health department are for school nurse (with the title of public health nurse). If it is for school nurse then I would think they would contact you before the first day of school to let you know when you start as orientation for you would start on the first day of school, likely shadowing a school nurse at work. Im not sure of the process im just going by what makes sense.
