Wonder if anyone who is a public health nurse (PHN) in LA county works as PHN I for couple years and and later transfer/change to the position of RN I I or RNII in LA county? I would like to know the possibilities to transfer positions ( from PHN to RN or from RN I to PHN within LA county.
I am currently transferring from RNI to PHN in LA County. It was not very difficult. I applied for a PHN job when I saw one available and then tested for the position. Once I made it on the list I interviewed and the transfer process started. From getting on the list to completing transfer it was about 3 months.
Congrats on your new position. I've recently applied, was the exam difficult?
Thank you! Good luck, I hear they are hiring lots of PHN's. It was a bit difficult but not impossible to pass. Just make sure you study the guides they offer.
