I just saw this independent film, starring Marcia Gay Harden as a mother with schizophrenia and Joe Pantoliano as her husband. The story really opened my eyes, as I am an inpatient nurse, and didn't really have an idea as to how my patient's present to society on a daily basis. Harden gives a tremendous performance, and it was announced tonite at the screening by the director, Joseph Greco, that the film had been sold, and would be shown starting in October in limited markets. If it is successful in those markets, it would be shown in more and more markets, and hopefully eventually in mainstream movie theaters. If the public was more aware, it would be a HUGE step in the de-stigmatization of mental illness. Please, if you are in any of the areas that show this film, urge others to see it and see it for yourself. Has anyone out there seen this? It was a real tear-jerker, I don't think there was a dry eye in the house.
