Hi! i was wondering if its true that you can get a job as a PSW after you complete your first year of nursing school? Is this right?

It is possible, some nursing students have been hired by nursing homes or private clients. Chances of getting a PSW job will depend on whether or not the market is saturated at the time you are applying.

In my area you may find a PSW job in some nursing homes. The hospital I work at requires that you have the PSW certificate. good luck with your hunt. There are plenty of LTC with job openings. It's a great way to get experience and get your foot in the door.

Yes. The LTC facility I worked at hired tons of nursing students to work as PSWs. They would hire RPN students after their first semester and BScN students after their second semester. I'm sure it depends on the facility, though.
