next week as part of my ob clinical, i'm supposed to be prepared to teach a patient on a certain topic. i picked "comfort measures" and i want to include perineal care, care of the episiotomy if present, relief for hemorrhoids, sitz baths, ice packs, sitting positions for promote comfort, etc. the instructors said they really like to see props- pamphlets we can hand out, videos or powerpoints we can display on our laptop in the pt's room, etc. i figured i could bring some tucks pads and hydrocortisone cream, but i am having a hard time thinking of what other props to bring that would be helpful. i want to get a great grade, so i need some creative ideas, if anyone has anything to offer!
