I have worked my way through various positions within my hospital for over six years. I have filled in as charge nurse many times and now there is a full time charge position opening. My manager asked me if I wanted to interview for the position before even posting its availability. I told her I did and will be going for the interview in a couple days. I never had to formally apply for this position. Do I need to bring a resume or some kind of modified resume? If it needs to be modified can you show me some examples?

I've typically needed to have updated resumes for position changes in my jobs. They are typically formalities. I would probably just add in the occasional duties of charge nurse, and if you also started precepting, add that. Perhaps have the hospital, and list the various positions you held and the duties if you haven't done that already.
