Palomar College Nursing School Spring 2015

Congrats and good luck to all. On a different subject, my kid is starting her freshman at CSUSM but is not (allowed) to take any core science classes yet. We are thinking, to speed up study, to allow apply to Polomar and see if she can take Ana, Physiology, or Micro. How hard is it to get science classes there, how is the environment there(kind of small campus I guess), and any recommendation on which professors to take those classes from? Thanks

    Nevada State College (NSC) ABSN

A little off topic. Are there any graduates who go(back) to CA and advance their study to MSN in CSU or UC successfully? Love to her some stories.

    CSU Fresno Fall 2013 BSN

Anyone has pool statistics for BSN Fall 2014 or 2013 l?
  7. Well my daughter is ending up repeating Anatomy for this Fall 2015. For Spring 2015, We had applied to CSUCI at Goleta, LB(not yet heard back but not counting), and CSU STAN, but she is put on alternate unfortunately. She is working 20 hour part-time right now and taking 2 classes: Anatomy and Public Speaking(other CSUs need this class, except CSULB will take small group discussion(waste of time for her)). During spring 15 while waiting, she will work (more) to pay some expenses(we pay for her apt.), and/ or take some classes but not sure what yet. She mentioned about volunteering also but we are not sure how much that would help her chances as timing is kind late I guess. We might look into taking nursing classes if possible but she has to make sure to get good grades or GPA will suffer. I guess we will play it safe and be very smart on spending time and money on something that should be beneficial in the long run. I also have another kid who will start CSU this Fall 2015. Besides CSUs (due to competition), as a backup plan, for her I am also looking at UNLV and NSC 2-year BSN programs which look pretty good due to shorter time. Cheers.

    NSC FALL 2014

We are in So CA. Will there be any issue after graduating from NSC or UNLV to apply for CA RN license? I do like 2-year program, saving one year, versus 3 year in CSU.

    CSUCI Nursing Program in Goleta

Hi, Did any of you get it. My kid is on alternate list for Spring 2015. However we are concerned about the high cost Tuition Total Units Required: 118.5 Cost Per Unit: $425 Estimated Fees to Complete Program: $50,363 or Tuition $20, 145 per year. Regular CSU tuition is only about about 6K / year and I do get 6 free unit weaver since I work for CSU. We might drop Goleta and apply for CSUCI main campus BSN Fall 2015 among other schools.
