  1. Hi ANADNEC, Thank you for your reply. I love self-study and study at home and from the pass I do it better than sitting in class. I think I feel more relax and at my comfort zone at home. My friend asked her friend, who also failed the same nursing program, called me in this morning. She said because she is a LVN, so she need to take some classes before nursing program. She was offered the accelerated program and now she is waiting for NCLEXs schedule. She also said she passed nursing classes at ICHS without any problem. (She failed Med Surg2 and Psych classes) She just needed to manage her time to study and did all assignments. I am worried about how I fly there, rent a hotel room, and go to clinical site.
  2. Hi ANADNEC, May I ask how much did you pay for the nursing program? I left many message at ICHS (phone call and through their web) and I don’t get any response. I failed advanced pharm in the third semester in a community college and would like to transfer my nursing credit to ICHS but I concern about how much money I need to pay (plus I need to pay for plane ticket and hotel room) Thank you, Dhitima Cienfuegos
  3. Hi, I am not sure that you are still looking for nursing school that accept nursing credits. A friend of my friend failed ADN program at a community college and she couldn’t return back due to there was limited seating available. Only some students can return back. Some were allowed to transfer their nursing credit to LVN program of that school and some needed to start all over at other nursing schools. This my friend’s friend found that International College of Health Sciences Florida, www.ichs.edu or call 1 561 2026333 accepted all nursing credits. She transferred her nursing credit there and continue in ADN program until she finished. Now, she is waiting for RN NCLEXs exam schedule in California. However, she had to fly to Florida every semester for her clinical for 2 weeks and she had to pass NCLEXs exam in Florida in order to taking NCLEXs in California. That girl, she passed all classes easily without any trouble. I think it is probably she studied in private college. Some private college or university have the tutors for nursing students and allow them to fail a couple times, such as WCU. One of my friend decided to study the nursing program at WCU in this month because the counselor told her that she have 2 chances to repeat class.
  4. Hello everyone, Did anyone transfer nursing school credits (ADN program) to International College of Health Sciences, FL? I don’t get accepted back to the ADN program at a community college in California. I failed Advanced Pharmacology in the third semester. As I know only this ADN program has this class. (It is only one unit and it is about MAR and Emergency drugs. This class isn’t required but it is strongly recommend by my college) I have 54 hours of Pharmacology class as RN Board requires. I have only MedSurg 3 and Nursing Management to pass the ADN program. I would like to know, did anyone get full credit for their nursing school credits? and did you need to take prerequisites? I have a friend, who graduated LVN to RN at International College of Health Sciences, FL, but she can’t tell me much about transferring the ADN nursing credits. ??Thank you, Dhitma
  5. Hi, I am not sure If you already enrolled LVN to RN program at International College of Health Sciences based out of Boyton Beach,Fl. My friend and 2 of her friends just graduated RN program from that school. She and a friend studied LVN to RN program and another one transferred her ADN nursing credit (from Rio Hondo college) and continue for RN program there. The one, who transferred her ADN nursing credit, already got CA RN license. My friend and another friend are waiting for NCLEXs schedule in California. All of them need to get license from FL first and then, they apply for license in California.
  6. Was anyone born oversea? I was born outside the US, so I do not have yellow vaccination card. If you are like me, you can use Titers test. If any Tister is out of a range, you need that vaccine. And do not worry, if CastleBranch will reject your immunization because you do not have the yellow card. You just call RioHondo to override it. ** everyone needs to have Titers test**
  7. jennmerr77, we need to order through CastleBranch by this Wednesday midnight. See due date on the paper that you got from the meeting. If you do not order by Wednesday, they will give your space to an alternated list student. Everything that we need to do must be finished before due date. All my item is overdue because we have our order number, which is same as summer 2016 students, so all requirements were due in last May. After I called Rio Hodo, they said it is ok. All I need to do is uploading my copies.
  8. Hi MA-Bianca, I just ordered through CastleBranch. I was surprise, everything's that I need to do are shown overdue. I just sent email to ask Pat, Nursing Department Secretary. I am nurvious now. I do not know what I did wrong but I was pretty sure I ordered the corrected package. We should have a doctor appointment to get every things done because if anything is shown positive result, we wil have time to do next step like chest X-Ray or get vaccine for immunization.
  9. Thanks, see you on Nov. 18. You will know which student is me. (the oldest student in class)
  10. Hi Jennmer77, they will tell us in the meeting and give us the details and due date.
  11. Hi everyone, I just got the letter today. I got accepted. Next things, I think we will be required to provide them informations; physical exams, immunization records, TB test, blood tests, Fired card, and CPR card. Also, we have to buy uniforms and lab kid for ADN 151 class. see you on November 18th
  12. Provisionally means you are officially accepted in the program. If you are in the waiting list , the letter would say alternate. I do not get any letter from Rio Hondo yet (deny or accept) I will call them tomorrow.
  13. Hi sambamxx, CNA, congratulation. If you don't mind, Can I ask you some questions? Is you gotten in LVN or ADN program? And when did you get the letter? As I know if your points are on very top, you will get in first and lower point students will get their letter later if they are selective or on waiting list. The ADN program at Rio Hondo is good. I heard some people talking about their program. Their professors and staffs are very helpful. If you have any question or problem, you just ask they will help you.
  14. Hi MA-Bianca, I have only applied nursing program at Rio Hondo. If I want to apply other school, I have to take at least 2 more classes, Math 130 and Life span development. I got only 72.6 in teas test but they said my test score was good. Maybe it was new version, so many students, who took the test at Rio Hondo, did not pass. My GPA was 3.64 and got all B in Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology. (Rio Hondo doesn't count Chemestry in Science point) I submitted copies of Bachelor degree in Applied Physic, a couple letter for difficult life and need to work, and my certificate of bachelor degree for other language. (I gratduated form Thailand) As I know it is not only grate that helps you get in the program at Rio Hondo. You must add other things for your points. Last summer, a student that had 3.0 of GPA got in the program because she added proves for low income, first generation in college and other things to her points. As I know from my counselor, she told me that I should get at least 3.5 of GPA and at least 3.0 of three Science classes in order to get in the program. If I got GPA and Science Grates less than she told, I may or may not get in the program. Good luck
  15. Hi MA-Bianca, did you get the letter from Rio-hodo? I took teas test on September 23rd before I submitted my application to Rio Hondo. (Teas test is a new requirement that student has to submmit with the application) I am still waiting for their letter. í ½í¹„
  16. Thank you. Your post really helps me a lot.
  17. BonsterMonster, thank you. I am going to take Teas test on next Friday and hope I can pass it.
  18. Congratulation on being accepted to nursing program at Rio Hondo. On Mar 23, I received a letter that I have been accepted to ADN as alternative. I guess it means I am on a wait list (now what 🤔.) I will be going to advisement meeting on Apr. 21 and will have teas test next week. I hope I will be accepted before Fall 2016. Congratulation again to those whom have been accceped to the program. See all of you if you will be attending the meeting on This Thursday.
