  6. 8 or 12 hour shifts

I am a PCT at a hospital and I love 12 hour shifts. Having 4 off days is amazing and gives you so much free time for plans, appointments, family time, etc. You could even work 4 days and that's 8 hours of overtime and you still get 3 days off. For m...

  14. Confusion over what psych nursing is really like?

I apologize to anyone who was offended by my comment. I didn't mean to down talk psych nurses. I love my job and the nurses I work with so much! A lot of the stuff people are naming off (such as diffusing situations, assisting in ADLs, making beds, j...
  15. My first day of lpn school is tomorrow

Today is my last day of my second week. It has been going great and I love all the things I have been learning. It has also been STRESSFUL! My instructor is such a hard *** and even though I resent her for it now I know I'll appreciate it later.
  16. Confusion over what psych nursing is really like?

I work as a tech on the psych unit at one of my local hospitals. I love our nurses to death, and of course if the techs ever really really needed their help they would be there. However, their day to day responsibilities (on a 12 hour shift) are only ...
