  1. No one really understands military life except for those in it. We’ve been doing long distance for 8 years. This will be our last move before getting out. My marriage isn’t of concern. I mean would I love to go with him? Absolutely. Would I love to live in Korea? Hell yeah. Do I want to eat kimchi? Yes please. But I’ve worked to hard to get my degree. I don’t want to take a year off after only one year in. Thank you!
  2. Hello! Experienced, traveler, military spouses please chime in. **Prefacing this with I have not told anyone at work. Need outsider advice. I am a military spouse with less than a year experience in a teaching hospital (I LOVE IT). We have orders to move to Korea (96 bed hospital but doesn’t recognize my non nationally accredited degree being a military hospital). One year without work with little experience doesn’t seem like an option. My question is: do i stay at my current job and get a full two years in at a place I love working, but don’t love living without my husband? Do I move home with family and start over, knowing I might only be there for one year? Do I apply to travel so I can take time off between contracts to visit my husband for long periods of time? I know these aren’t hard and fast answers anyone can give.. but really looking for what you believe pros and cons are to each. And I know in the end this is a tough decision only I can make but really looking for anyone in a similar situation, or even a managerial perspective of how you observed a staff member live this life!thank you!

I also have applied to UNC for critical care services. I hope some have heard and have been extended an interview. I applied the day of the deadline! Does anyone know how the application process works? I had to rank critical care departments (i.e. neuro, cardiac) and it says "Under Consideration". Honestly I'm sick of checking back everyday, it's taking time away from actually studying

I know this sounds crazy. But they told me some of my 400 level classes don't transfer because they don't offer 400-level classes. Or because I went to a quarter credit school my 5 credit class only transfers as a 3.6 credit so they won't accept it.

Well the application cycle only ended ten days ago. They said we will hear something probably in March. I assume mid March. Fingers crossed. I had an overall score of 177 and got a 95 on my HESI. Before I sent my transcripts, I calculated my points at 185, but about 90% of my classes "don't transfer" to Sandhills. So I had to choose from about 10 classes to put on my worksheet. Which seems a little silly considering I have a degree already. But I am still confident with a 177 score.

Has anyone applied to Sandhills this year? Also, anyone that has been accepted in the past, how long did you wait to get your acceptance/rejection letter. I'm just too excited to wait!

Anyone else applying to Sandhill's nursing program this month in Southern Pines? Anyone in the past remember their cumulative score? I just want some encouragement! Just took my HESI A2 and got a 94.6% so I am extremely elated and turning in my application next week!

Unfortunately I was not accepted. They said I didn't have my required prereqs. I think something went wrong in the application process. I have taken all the courses at accredited universities and colleges. I even contacted the school and nursing program multiple times about my transcripts and they said everything was fine. So I am very confused at what went wrong. I will be contacting them in the morning.

Congrats to all who have gotten in! I am in the west so still waiting on my mail to come.. I am getting really nervous. Wishful thinking for your future longor11. I have a very similar profile as you, with a degree in exercise science, and almost similar grades.
