  1. If you have gotten your COVID Vaccine...

Pfizer 1st dose was 1/6/21. Arm soreness 2nd dose 1/27- Milder arm soreness, chills during the night, and dull headache from night to morning. Had some insomnia and wacky dreams (not sure if it was due to vaccine or not). Was fine the next...
  2. I start nursing school in the Fall this year, I work for an Ophthalmology/Optometry practice as an assistant. I have patients tell me I should be a nurse because I have good personality working around people in a healthcare setting. I've had nothing...
  3. Is Nutrition course really the hardest course?

i feel like it really depends on the school and professor. I took nutrition in exercise science bachelor's and it was not too bad- minus the 45-50 page paper I had to write along with a full meal plan for 1 week.
  4. I'm currently working as an ophthalmic technician at an ophthalmology/optometry practice. Although it's really not "nursing related", it does give me tons of 1 on 1 practice time with a patient.
  5. I'm 23 and already have a bachelor's degree. Currently waiting for a school to let me know on acceptance or not for ABSN program. I still live at home and my parents have been pretty fine with me staying at home until I have my nursing degree whether...

  7. What was your GPA of you don't mind me asking? I'm looking into usf nursing after I get my bs in exercise science

That's a goal of mine, is to be working in the OR
  9. Looking to the military and ABSN

Well nothing against pa's but isn't that what makes a nurse good, is the experience? But I swear a read that with rnfa you can still work in surgery as an assistant with an NP, maybe I'm wrong
  10. Looking to the military and ABSN

I did ROTC for 2 years I know it's very difficult and extremely competitive to get a scholarship I know a lot of people that had to go to LTC to get one. About the NP's and PA's I thought army only had FNP, which I wouldn't mind doing but I'd much r...
  11. Looking to the military and ABSN

I'm still trying to process if I want to make a career out of them military (which I know is difficult) or leave to go be an NP at a hospital, I was also looking into getting an RNFA too.
  12. Looking to the military and ABSN

Well ROTC was just a way to quickly get in, but I can see them not having much experience since they're straight out of school. My only concern I'd if I join Army, after I get my acnp, where does that put me? Just as a critical care nurse? I know Ai...
  13. Looking to the military and ABSN

is med/surg really that bad though?
  14. Looking to the military and ABSN

EDIT: didn't read thoroughly, oops. I guess a 24 month program could be easier, since I will have pre-reqs done. I'm hoping I'll be able to get a job for 2 years for experience, I was hoping military could be the experience and I would go civi afte...
  15. Looking to the military and ABSN

Hello, I'm 20 years old and currently a student going for a bachelors in exercise science. I'm doing this program for the pre-reqs for accelerated nursing. I would like to go active duty right into the Army if possible. I've been looking and readi...
