No to medical related (trying to make a mid life career change), but I have been volunteering at the VA for the past 9 months and I am scheduled to begin training with the PWCL in May. Maybe that will help for next year? I've got to find another basket for my eggs though. I'm no spring chicken here.

My cumulative is a 3.51. Of course, that was 20 years ago. It's been two years of rejections now so I'm getting the feeling it's not you, it's me. Not sure where to go from here. Any suggestions of other nursing programs in the Portland area?

Guess I'm out, again. Thought I was competitive with a 4.0 in my pre read. Guess it's not enough.

Did they send the Fall cohort emails separately from Summer, or all at the same time?

Think they will call this week or just mail everything out next week?

Just got an email that the Portland campus decisions will be delayed. They are being made the week of March 31st with decision letters made the week of April 7th.

Has anyone heard from the Portland campus yet?

I'm just hoping no news is good news this time. I can't take any more rejection!

Way to go guys. I hope I get to meet you in the ABSN portion. My goal is to immediately gain acceptance in the grad MHNP program so I can stay with the same cohort. Not sure how likely that is, but it's worth a shot. I have the grades, but not the back ground at this point. I'm currently volunteering at the VA in Portland. Does anyone have any other volunteer ideas? I would really love to work with mental health in some capacity, but I've been shot down by the obvious places. I think there are privacy concerns.

I have the same plan for the MHNP program. If I can at least get into the ABSN program, it will be a start. At this point, no news is good news. I don't want to hear anything anytime soon.

I got the scholorship email too. I assume at least we aren't in the no way catagory. I file it under either neutral or good, but certainly not bad.

Here is what I heard today. Thank you for your interest in the OHSU School of Nursing! ! The faculty have just began the review process. They do not have a date scheduled for interviews at this time. We anticipate they will make this decision by the end of next week. Final decision communications will go out early March. Best of luck! Much later than last year.

Review process has just begun. No scheduled date for the interviews but they will make that decision by the end of the week. Last year, it was on Valentine's day so I'm suprised it has been pushed back. Perhaps because of our recent snowmagedden.

I am getting that sinking feeling that it isn't going to happen again this year.

So I know it's early, but has anyone gotten the call for interviews yet?

PMHNP interview dates still TBD. The waiting is the hardest part.

Hi there. Just to clarify, are you in the Fall 2013 cohort for the Accelerated Bachelors or the ACC to MHNP program?

Unfortunately, this is my second year applying so I do have some information. When I spoke to the admissions person, they said they receive about 80 applications for the ACC to PMHNP a year, and take only 10. The ACC to Bachelors options accepts 28 or so. To be safe, I applied to both. That way if I get into the ACC BAC, I can immediately apply for the Maters program and perhaps stay with the original cohort. The waiting is brutal. I have no idea what they are looking for. I went to the informational meeting last year and it sounds like the cohort for 2012 was varied. I hope I'm the middle aged career change woman with kids that they are looking for this year!
