    Cell phone in your thigh?

May be meralgia parasthetica. A numbness and tingling in the outer thigh sometimes caused by wearing a tight belt like a heavy tool belt around the waist.
  2. You will be on the border of Ohio and West Virginia so having both licenses will double your job opportunities. I work in WV and hold both just in case.

BSN-DNP and working full-time as RN. Thoughts?

I think it depends on your personal situation. If you are motivated, not married and don't have kids yet, I say go for it. If you have to devote time to a relationship or children it will probably be too much especially when you start clinicals. Good luck in whatever you decide!

    working in a physicians office

It's better than inpatient nursing but I think it depends on what job you end up getting. I have worked for a doc that was very needy and had a patient load that was needy as well. I was swamped all the time. In comparison I have worked for docs that do everything for themselves and the phone hardly rings. Expect the worst and hope for the best.

advice for taking the next step

I've felt the same way before. You need to go back to school or at least take some certification classes. Don't stay in your "rut" or you will get burnt out. Getting your ADN will only take about one more year. Nursing as an RN will open many more doors for you than If you stay an LPN.

    Old foot care therapy

I remember at my first job at a LTC facility the older nurses would automatically use milk of mag and sugar on any new bedsores. I was a newbee and didn't know what to think! I didn't stay there long enough to ever learn if that trick was effective.

    Ohio University FNP

I'm in my second semester and love it! I am able to work full time Monday through Friday and do most of my online work on the weekends. This will change soon as clinicals will need to be done during the week. I'm still working on a plan for that......Some of my classmates work 12 hour shifts which would probably work very well with this program. Good luck to you in whatever program you choose!

Am I really a NP if I do laser hair removal?

As someone who has had extensive laser hair removal I can tell you that your job is very much valued coming from my prospective. Please do not feel like you are not an asset to the profession just because you are not in a conventional doctors office. Aesthetic nursing is an important job to have. I know it made a world of difference to me in my confidence. Just like there are different RN jobs there are different NP jobs. If you are truly not feeling fulfilled get your resume out their and maybe your experience with your current employer will count for something. But for now you are helping your patients maybe more than you will ever know. I know it helped me with my confidence. Hang in there!
