  1. In was in a bridge adn to msn program in nursing school, I have a bachelors degree in another field, and it was near impossible to get a job. Employers, for whatever reason was BSNs. But by the grace of God I got my first RN job without advertising that I was pursuing my MSN. It was very hard to get an acute care position with "MSN Fall 2017" on my resume.

    Maricopa County -GCU MSN CEP

The first part of the program takes about 7 months, it's all online. I feel that there are advantages and disadvantages to getting the BSN instead of the MSN, but I feel that in the long run the MSN will be more beneficial.

Sorry all, I have been super busy with the program. It's a lot of work! You don't pick your specialty until after you graduate. It's a very demanding program, but I am really enjoying it :)

Yay there are three of us now! :) I'm looking forward to the orientation too, and just starting the program in general. I'm itching to buy a stethoscope I've had my eyes on for awhile haha.

Cool!! :) I wonder how large the Spring 2015 class will be. The info session for the program was pretty small.

I'm pretty excited about starting this program in the Spring! Has anyone else applied to the program? Hopefully all us applicants can chat some and get to know each other before the program begins in January! :)

Has anyone been accepted into the GWCC GCU CEP program?

    accelerated nursing program

Don't stress out about it. Stressing only makes the situation much worse than it really is. It stops you from thinking about other things, I stressed and obsessed so much about being placed on the alternate list that I was not able to enjoy my family and friends, or life for that matter. If you get in, you spent all that time stressing and less time enjoying free time with family and friends. The second time I was offered a spot I got a call the Friday before before classes started. So breath, your chances are really good! Thank you! :)

    accelerated nursing program

I was placed on the alternate list for GCU's Fall 2014 accelerated program. I was 20 or 21, I cannot remember the exact number. I was offered a spot twice, but I had to turn both offers down. Spots will become available, so don't worry. The advisors usually call you and let you know about the opening, and you usually have to give them an answer the same day. Also spots can open up anywhere so you may end up driving across the valley to get to class. But there is a very very good chance you will get a call. :)

I think I was number 21. So if anyone happens to get placed on the alternate list know that there is hope and you have a really chance of making it into the program. :)

I submitted my application for the Maricopa nursing program. I was a little thrown off too, but in the end I think it was good I didn't get in. A pretty big financial responsibility came up a few months afterwards, so I'm not too sad :)

I applied last session and was an alternate. So if you are not accepted then you are not accepted, if you are an alternate then, depending on where you are on the list, you will be contacted by phone if a spot becomes open. But you will only be offered what becomes available. I applied to AT Still and was offered a spot at Banner the first time and had to decline, too much of a commute, I was then offered a spot at SHC 4 days before the first day of class, which I turned down. Talk about financial aid stress haha.

They will add more dates. Sometimes it just takes a little while, just keep checking every few days. I got an 85% on the HESI. Also, study biology, if you have not taken a general bio course recently you should focus on that area. I applied to AT Still last round, I'm still debating on whether to reapply. The cost is a little too high for me, I don't want to take out anymore giant school loans.

The chemistry section was not terrible, I can't remember much about it. I took it in May, but I do remember that it was nothing to stress over :)
