2. Kicking a bad habit

   I substituted smoking for popsicles. I haven't smoked in 2 years. I get repulsed by it now. I first tried those e-cigarettes, didn't work. I did pick up a new habit, at least it's not turning my lungs black or causing inflammation.

   I have that same tactic, but I walk away to grab a snack and think about what I just read, and then I jot down an outline usually with index cards attached to a binder. It takes longer but I have been more successful with exams using this method.
