Some cheap junk the hospital IT people made up themselves. I can't see what was charted before without clicking on it. I can see a headline, like that cardiac was an issue, but not the detail of the chart, like that pt had high BP.
I'm in a year-long residency, and that's the pay. I think Vandy's low-balling because of the name Vandy, not because of a residency program. Anyhow, enjoy Nashville! I'm sure it'll be fun.
I told Vandy no. It was a tough decision, but the pay is just too low. They aren't even paying $21 an hour. Ouch. I'll be making $25.50-29.50 an hour where I'm at. I can't walk away from that.
I got the same email before the application was open. They kept my email address from an email I sent in July, and that made me think they were really interested in me. Then I don't even get an interview! I though that was a little mean.
I'm gonna sleep on my Vandy decision tonight.
Great! Are you going? I remember you from the Swedish Hospital thread, xpressel38. I was so devastated that I didn't even get an interview there. All forgotten now!! :)
I know what you mean, the problem of being blessed with opportunity! Vandy made me an offer, but I already accepted a really good job that pays better. What to do, what to do...
Sorry to hear that, Craig. CVICU is probably a really tough nut to crack in any hospital. You can always apply to Vandy after a year of experience at your current hospital.
