    It's a pass for LS1!

I passed Health Differences across the Lifespan 1 a couple of weeks ago! After a much needed little break, I am preparing to dig into LS2! Tips appreciated!!!!

    Passed Health Differences 1

I have purchased the practice exams, but haven't taken them yet because I'm pretty early on in my studies. I guess I'm just wondering if others felt studygroup was helpful or if I should avoid it altogether on this one?

    Passed Health Differences 1

I am studying for this exam now! How did you prepare for this one? Which study materials were most helpful for you? I have marked all of the required chapters in the books but it's a little overwhelming!! It's just so much info. I bought the SG101 but it's so dry and I don't think it will be helpful for this one.. Any advice is appreciated!

    Phase I, Where to Start?

I took health safety first. I think that's a safe bet as it's a review of the nursing process. (:
  6. While I love Repro (it fascinates me), I found this class to be very difficult. I have never had children, nor have I ever worked in this area.. so I had a lot of learning to do. I felt like I just couldn't learn enough. I studied for this exam using A LOT of different resources and still felt sick on test day.. Youtube, the recommended books, EC practice exams, sg101, TNC exams (I found this to be worthless), and quizlet, just to name a few. My anxiety got the best of me on this one, but I came out with a B thankfully! Next up is the LS series! I am very intimidated by these last 3!! What helped you to feel prepared for LS1? I am considering purchasing a Saunders NCLEX book for Q&A studying. I learn well from quizzing. Open to any suggestions! Thanks in advance!

Hey there level 2! Nice to meet you!

Super excited to announce that I passed the Transition to the Professional Nurse Role exam yesterday! I used studygroup 101, the content guide, the practice exams, and older editions of the required books (minimally). Now that I am in level two, I think I'm going to take reproductive health next. Tips/advice welcome! Thanks in advance!!

Hey, just a heads up! I just passed Health Safety yesterday. It was my first nursing exam with Excelsior so I didn't really know what to expect. I used the recommended text and studygroup101. The info was so familiar that it was difficult to focus on. The test was more difficult than I expected. There were A LOT of SATA; probably 30 or more. I came out with a B. I feel like now that I know their style of nursing questions, I will be able to more effectively prepare for the exams. So, its on to Foundations!

Thanks! I was super stoked! I used the recommended book and then reviewed with Lisa Arends Study Guide off of ebay. It really helped me refresh and condense what I read.
