I don't think there'll ever be more nurses than there is demand... good nurses are always needed... if you're serious about becoming a nurse, I say go for it and good luck!
That's tragic... I'm sorry to hear that... the most important thing is you being there for you friend, regardless of what they need. other than that, counseling would help a lot. it's not her fault and should believe that and not just know it.
