San Jacinto College ADN Spring 2011

@lindylou88 You can register for the other two classes. You just need to email one of the ladies that was on the board from the orientation and tell them you have a problem registering for those two classes. And they should clear you up. I was confused on the orientation date for Foundations for Nursing. It says orientation is Jan. 18 &19. But I don't have any classes on Wednesday. Are they talking about Thusday 20th?

San Jacinto College ADN Spring 2011

I applied to the program as well. But I had a friend who got to apply late. She said she recieved an email from the nursing department who allowed her to apply for program still even though the deadline past. It was an emailed sent out to applicants who had a few points off from the 75% passing on the HESI for any section. Maybe that is why the process for acceptants/declined email took awhile and maybe not enough people applied? I hope the people who the made the deadline and their application was completed made it in! GL

San Jacinto College ADN Spring 2011?!

I just check the San Jac website. There is a link on the Nursing Page that says "ADN Application Packet." I believe you would have to print it out and hand in to the school or mail it.

    Midwestern State University

For Spring 2011 applicants, We don't need recommendations or a personal statement right? Just wanna make sure. I couldn't find it on the nursing page to do one.

    Prairie view CON Fall 2010

I'm worried that I won't get in!Let's say I took my test twice but failed the A&P portion both times but all the other sections were 86 and beyond and you have a good GPA standing and turned everything thing on time or early to PV. Would there be a chance to still get in??? (apply for spring 2011)

Texas Woman's University-help with pre req questions

Oh okay. I'll call to make sure. Well I already did take Statistics. I think for the womens mc class it can be taken after nursing school starts just confused of when I should take the MATH 1013 Quantitative Literacy course. Maybe I will take it at my community college instead..Will see

Texas Woman's University-help with pre req questions

Since I am not core complete at the school I'm attending, I understand I have to take Math 1013, Womens MC, and Computer Literacy. Lets say I was accepted in TWU Houston, will I have to complete the Math 1013 before the start of nursing courses or it can completed during the start of nursing courses?

Texas Woman's University-help with pre req questions

I'm applying for the Spring 2011 BSN in Houston for nursing program. I am core complete as well. It says the the minimum requirement for GPA is 3.0, well I'm .4 points off. If I took one of the classes again this summer (7/12-8/15) and got a better grade to boost up my GPA to pass the 3.0, do you think thats a good idea? It says they take the most recent grade. If I go forth with that and also take the entrance test and send everything in but the grade with the recent grade until grades are final and then send it right away to TWU before Sept 1 (which I believe will make it) will they accept my current GPA w/ that current grade instead of my previously GPA?

    Prairie View A&M students

Thank you for the information. I did apply to Prairieview and started the process of doing the NET test, but I came too late on registering for the NET test (it was full). I did apply to TWU as well, but I was ineligible because of not taking one class before applying to the Nursing program. So I decided that in Fall 2010 I'll take the 2 extra classes that I need for PVU and I might take at least one of the Science courses either Micro or A&P. I feel that my Science GPA isn't high. Do you think that's best? And I'll be applying to PVU and TWU (maybe other schools too) for Spring 2011.

    Prairie View A&M students

I just applied for Prairie View A&M. Is it hard to get into? My GPAs are somewhat higher than the minimal requirment, but it isn't as high (like 3.5 and above). Do you think i still have a chance of making it in the program? Also would it be better to take a science course again if you got a C in that class and aim for an A? Please help
