    OCVTS LPN Program

Ray, what ever gave you the impression my age was 39 when my age is 43 ..... Yes sometimes I get tired, mostly due to the fact the cat was locked in the spare bedroom all night and finally at 4:30 am I heard her meowing to get out and have been up ever since. I hope the A & P midterm is easy, that would be nice. No worries about the coffee never touch the stuff.... me I am a tea drinker ... I know I'll be fine, if I get one good night rest a week than it's all good. I just finished my NF homework and really should read over the notes for friday's midterm, right after I download a lecture on my ipod. Slowly but surely my inner nerd is beginning to resurface, just was buried deeper than I thought, but the nerd is getting there, should fully arise soon... (fingers crossed... ;-O ) Will definitely let you know how I make out on the midterm. Donna

    OCVTS LPN Program

Donna, Yeppers......... saw I uh oh you all well hope....hehehe I do know the school choice of yours. Was the cost substantial? I was directed away from them for that reason. How many students in your class and ratio of F 2 M students if I may........ Lastly, reason for movement to this field? ARY ! um no YAR ooppps RYA Ray, The cost was substantial. I was directed away as well, however, resources out there have brought my portion down considerably. F 2 M approx. 1:10. Many reasons why I moved to this field. Probably the biggest factor was I had work as a "plantiff pro se" and sued patients, now I want to help take care of them. Donna

    Nursing School Pen Pal

Professional Awareness is my toughest course so far. In fact everyone has the lowest grade in that class. The book we study out of is Success in Practical Nursing.

I attended a school in Moorestown, NJ. Yes the tuition is more the ocean county. The school hours are different depending on how fast you want to finish the program. The school offers full time, part time, days, nights, weekends etc. I am currently in the full time nursing program M-F 8:30 am - 3:30 pm. We began Sept. 24th and should finish right away the same time next year. Yes the instructors have spoken with us about job potential already, and has given the names of hospitals in NJ that still hire LPN's and also how about getting our RN as well as going for our BSN. We have been in school less than a month and our first clinical is scheduled Nov. 16th I think three days a week. It is very fast paced and pratically put everything in my life on the back burner right now. I love it. We have a great class, it's unfortunately that some have already dropped out. At orientation they tell you it is alot of work and you do have to study and pay attention. In the beginning it was a bit overwhelming accept now I have worked out a schedule that seems to work for me. Yes I do study alot, and read alot, and I even download the instructors lecture on my ipod. Since I have an hour drive one way to school everyday it is the perfect opportunity for me to replay the lecture. Most of the students in my school have an hour drive. I am a little further south of toms river, but the drive isn't bad. Considering I don't take the parkway that is God Send within itsself if you know what I mean. Well if there is any other questions I can answer for you, please feel free to ask away. Donna

I started Sept 2010. Does anyone think Professional Awareness is a hard course? It seems as though everybody has the most difficulities with PA?

Although I am from Ocean County to wait for sept 2011 was to far off, so I have started this year Sept 2010 at another school. Getting thru my first month. WOW !!!!!!!!!!! This has definitely changed my life. Yes I am one of the mature students. Our class has approx 26 students and 2 are males, We started with 42 students, 6 of which were males, not everybody can handle the work. Good Luck to All of you Donna
  14. Don't worry about what you have heard about the school, the school was approved to teach the program. I have not heard about orientation. I was told their were actually two orientation dates.
  15. I was told the school will offer a CPR training for those who do not already have the training, but getting the training before school starts is suggested. (What I was told, when I finished my financial aid)
