tripleA's, don't worry about it. These are things that are really fustrating because I think a large portion of the hopeful entering class have moved and excelled way beyond what was in HS. HS is HS, and during that time many of us many not have been that focused or centered on what will be 5 or 7 years from then. I would think the committe would understand that. But again, don't worry.

Bp I am sooo happy for you, truly and sincerely! Honeycutts you are so totally funny.. gotta love ya! And I totally agree with what gulitysins said as well as the other ladies, you have to see what is best for you. You know a friend of mine who graduated from BI, asked me the same question about would happen if I got into the 3 year program instead of the 2 year program and I said I don't know what I would do. because yes I would just love to finish faster, an acceptance is an acceptance.. well gotta go my little one is really sick and I have to tend to her. villa

Cool Lily! Anything to entertain the mind! I think that is awesome, I too would really love to do something in women's health and/or midwifery, but I would also love to work with the adolescent population. This is something dear and near to my heart. My experience is mainly working in the area of cancer (colorectal cancer and breast/cervical) as well as some diabetes, mainly in the minority population. But before this I was a youth counselor at church for about 5 years, and I really loved working with them, with all their ups and downs, hormones and everything else that comes with that.lol! But like you said, you just never know, my hubby is a pediatrician, so maybe I might like something there.. but we shall see! And Lily don't worry, I know you will get in! =) Villa

oh these committee meetings get me nervous.. ! Anyone else get a call or just waiting.. ?? So l just want to think positively about the whole situation and really get my mind out of the "I am waiting for a call" state of mind. My question to you all, just to distract us a bit, Once we are in nursing school do you know or better yet what area would you like to specialize in and why? Villa

Triple As, I just want to say thank you! Yes I can definately see the Lords faithfulness throughout this whole process.. I really have to stay still and know that He is working throughout this. Honeycutts, I also see what you mean about the 3 years, and I agree. I would love to just apply to other schools, but I have capped my limit. I can't anymore, economically for me at this moment its just not fesible. This is the first time I am applying to BI, but this is my second round of applying to nursing school. I really messed up during my undergrad years, and I have done well during my grad years and my pre-reqs, as well as having experience in the healthcare field under my belt.. unfortunately not all that gets taken into consideration when you are compared to other students who have done well all along. Hence why my plan b would be the doctorate. Like I said before, I would love to just get accepted so I can give up my job, and be entirely focused on school as well as on my little ones. The last email I got from our angel said that there are more slots in the 3 year program. Lord I don't know what is ahead for any of us, but I just ask that you give us strength and the confidence to know that we are safe in your hands. chao ladies! ~villa

thank u Lily and you are right, I have to keep positive, I guess I am just having one of those days.. It really is hard to wait patiently.. I think what really gets me more anxious is because I have already made mental plans as to what "I" wanted my summer to look like more or less.. ex: spend time with my little ones, since my hubby is going to start a new job up in CT and he will be communting back and forth.. so technically I wanted to know what my status would be so I can give my boss the advance notice and say good-bye to my job and be entirely focused on my daughters for the summer and school. But again my ways are not His ways nor my thoughts His thoughts.. and I just have to just keep sitting tight.. ok Ladies thanks for hearing me out and letting me vent.. speak to you all soon! ~villa =)

My plan be would be to apply to a doctorate program in public health. I have a masters in public health already and that has been my area for the past 5 years. So, since I am in here already why not just move up.. What is your plan B??

Hello ladies, I am really starting to feel down with this whole apps process and waiting for a call. Our angel emailed me today just letting me know that my application is still with the comittee and that they will make their decision in 2 weeks. I wish you all the best in your future as nurses, I honestly don't think I have a shot to get in, so I will try to put all my focus on my plan B. It was a pleasure to have met all of you lovely ladies on this board, who have given me much strength and hope. God Bless! ~villa

Hello Ladies! Congrats to all who have their interviews scheduled! Triple A, you have given me great news! last time I spoke with our angel, she said there were about 30 of us in the same boat waiting for an interview... so does that mean we all have a chance at this new semester?!! I surely hope so... Metyal, congrats on the blessing of a new baby and I agree 100% with the other ladies, support support support is what you should mention and your determination to acheive you desires. ~villa

Hello Ladies!!!!!!! I have good news!!!!!!! Our angel called me, I am sooo super excited, and told me that my application is still under review, and that it is a good thing. All rejection letters have been sent out and that there are about 30 of us still waiting. So there is still hope don't worry. Honeycutts are you proud of me.. I called her and emailed her today as soon as I got in to work and she was sooo sweet that she called me back. let me just say that althought I am not the most patient person, and God knows that, He is forever faithful and knows the desires of our hearts.. so we have to keep our hopes up! ~Villa

honeycutts you are sooo silly... .. But the Lord as my witness, I did call her and emailed her and nothing.. Maybe she is afraid to speak to me too?? lol, so not true.. Just in case you are reading this our Angel.. I was just kidding! Since I email her at work, I know when she has read my emails, but that is really all.. Thus I sit here at my desk now waiting and waiting, how depressing.. I really should be preparing for a meeting with the Internal Review Board (IRB) from my job.. ok ladies.. Many blessings for those who are about to get an interview, relax and be yourself and for those of us who are still waiting upon the blessed Angel to return phone calls, emails or even an desired interview, may we continue to patiently wait in the Lord!.. ~villa:redbeathe
