    this isnt homework, just a study guide im trying to finish. 1. Is the trachea part of the upper or lower? 2. Why are the cartilage and cricoid cartilage of the larynx made from hyaline cartilage? 3. What structures are involved in speech production? vocal cords? 4. What is the irony of the bronchial veins merging with the pulmonary veins? 5. Scientifically how do we depict partial pressures? is that what you multiply to get them? 6. Compare atmosphere and alveoli in terms of gases present. Hint use text book! Is this talking about that chart on page 856? (the green marieb book with tennis player on the front) if so, could someone explain it? please help

    if you increase resistance in a blood vessel = blood flow decreases so then what will happen to blood pressure? increase or decrese?

    jenn y, a 6-year-old child who has been raised in a germ-free environment from birth, is a victim of one of the most severe examples of abnormal immune system. jenny also suffers from cancer caused by the epstein-barr virus. relative to this case: (a) what is the usual fate of children with jenny's condition and similar circumstances if no treatment is attempted? i cant just put "she will die" can someone offer more detail? (b) why is jenny's brother chosen as the bone marrow donor? also, i cant just put "because he's a match" need more detail © why is her physician planning to use umbilical cord blood as a source of stem cells for a bone marrow transplant if transplant of her brother's marrow fails? what are the hoped for results ? (d) attempt to explain jenny's cancer. (e) what similarities and dissimilarities exist between jenny's illness and aids? can someone help me out?
