oh my heavens, no....not all the time....we should have 2-3 RN's and 2 LPN's (med nurses) on my unit of usually 35-48 pts. There has been many a time that we only have one RN. That is outragous !!!...
those that are grateful for the med aids due to the no. of pts. and the other dutes they must attend to...I can sympathyze with you because no matter how we all want skilled nurses in these...

I don't think that there would be such a drastic shortage if our pay would equal or work.....if we were paid more money then many, many nurses that are not working as nurses would return....I forget...
