Failed RN school, challenging LPN boards

85 questions....That could be really good or bad. With knowing your history of studying I'm more than sure that you did extremely well. I just talked to a friend from school today, that also had 85 questions on 9-18-07. He just found out today that he passed. And another friend that i took it with had 85 questions and she passed. I on the other hand had 96 questions. I guess i needed more answers to prove my self :) Again i'm sure that you passed. I'll just tell jou now -- welcome new nurse!!!!! -- ~Peach

    Testing out of OB_PEDS

isyorke, thank you, soo much for your response!!! i would like to clep out of ob/peds and graduate in may"08 rather than dec "08. i have no intentions of working in this department. although i did get some experience while doing clinicals in this area and i can definitely see why some nurses would like to work in this area, it's kind of a different world so pure and sweet at times. but this isn't really my thing i like the action of the er department. i am happy and relieved to hear that someone has cleped out and think it's okay to do so. like you i will pull back out my nclex study book, cards, and cd's and study this area. and i hope that like you i will clep out of this area to begin nursing as an rn sooner. also like your state, here in ok it is okay to clep out and still have the requires clinical hours. thanks again ~peach

i almost forgot:spin: i wish you both luck, im sure that you will pass. saying a lil' prayer for you after i send this :) it's so funny cause before i started the nclex i said a prayer for everyone in the room and i didnt even know those people, but i knew that we all needed it :) ~peach

Failed RN school, challenging LPN boards

hi betterme29, yea, i would take those test on cd format and would do kind of bad :) but i would also take some of the test at the end of the the chapters and do pretty good a's / b's. i also did good on the ati practice test. the saunder's questions on cd format were more difficult. but i would say that it made me study them harder although i was still at a d level when i took the test, cause quite a few of those harder questions were on the nclex. ~peach

Failed RN school, challenging LPN boards

hi mommy of three :) if you did that much studying im sure that you'll pass. whenever you go in to take your test , just relax....relax....don't be too anxious, it's just like taking one of the practice test at home or your school. i just passed 9-13-07. and everyone in my class has passed, i'm sure that you will do well. as a matter of fact, me and my friend would laugh becausee the practice test that i would take, i usually made an f the first couple of times, then i would graduate to a d after i would recognize some of the same questions coming around. when i took the nclex, i was still only at a d level, as far as the saunders study cd. you will do great!!!! keep us posted ~peach

    Microbiology club Fall 2007

I too am taking Micro this semester. i had LPN boards on Thursday 9-13-07 and my first micro test the nest day on friday. So of course i put all of my energy into studying for my boards. I passed boards :spin: But received a 53% on my first Micro test. I guess you can't win them all. ~Peach

    Alternatives to Pajam...I Mean, Scrubs

I absolutely LOVE scrubs. They are the most comfortable uniform that I've ever had to wear. While in nursing school i worked at a appliance factory and i sometimed wore scrubs because they were so comfortable and breathable. I also saw other workers wearing them. I think it's all about being comfortable while doing your job and saving lives. And not about weraing heels and pretty dresses to perform nurse care wich is a busy on your feet sometimes sweating job. I wouldn't won't to wear anything else, LUV 'EM!!! ~Peach

Tulsa-- where to get CPR trained?

I called Platt and they have CPR training, but it's only for their nurse students. But for anyone else who needs CPR training: Tulsa Tech provides it also Interim. I'm going to go with Interim because they have the nearest open date. Once again thank you to TheCommuter. ~Peach

    Lost!! where should i work?

Hello everyone, this is my first time posting here. I Love this site, everyone is soo helpful. Well i just passed boards on 9-15-07!!! Thank you GOD! But, I have a dilema, I am currently taking a micro class all day on Friday, you all remember how hard this class is. And I am also in the LPN-RN bridge all day saturdays. My problem is that I need a job as an LPN with very little stress at least until I graduate. And i would like a job outside of the nursing home. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Please help me even if it's with the smallest advice, thank you! Lost in Tulsa, Oklahoma
