As nurses we are all exposed to some form of stress, the good and bad. I am curious to find out what you guys do to let off some steam and release some stress. Keep it clean! For me I started doing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It's a good workout and very th...
Hi! Any updates on your career in pain management? I'm in a similar position that you were in. I interviewed at a few spine and pain places. The first one wants me to see 20-25 pt's per day, the second practice appears to be better suited for me as a...

That's just ridiculous and hard to fathom. As a provider, I would certainly like to earn more than I would make working as a nurse. All that education and you are not getting properly compensated.
Any NPs here in pain management? I am a new grad FNP with a specialty in ortho. Any thoughts or experiences in this field? It seems like this field has many benefits in the long run.
Seems like a legit place and not a pill mill. I'll have the opportunity to do procedures such as nerve and joint injections. I feel like this place is very similar to my orthopedic rotation in sports medicine when I was in NP school. I don't know, ma...
Some questions I came across were: 1. Tell me about yourself? 2. Why do you want to get into (insert field/specialty)? 3. Tell me about an incident....what would you do if...tell me about a time when you did this....what happened? What did you do? 4....
I am a new grad myself and have had several interviews. They are all different with questions ranging from behavioral type questions to clinical questions.
So I have a second interview coming up, this time it's to interview with the director of the organization. My first interview was a panel style with 3 to 4 interviewers and I felt intimidated even though it was supposed to be "relaxed" or "casual." ...
The one I looked into was 60K/yr, $500 for CME, FT employee benefits. No guarantees if you will be hired post-fellowship. Also, 20K sign-on bonus for a 2-year commitment into the specialty.
Hey all, Just wanted to know who is considering going to Duke for their FNP next fall. I know it's still early to apply, but the deadline is just around the corner.

That's the route that I'm probably going to take after school. I might do a one year fellowship in UC with the hospital system that I'm currently working in after graduation to gain more experience.

It took me a good 2 months to really polish my statement of purpose. I only applied to Duke, so for me it was go big or go home. I thought I bombed my interview (phone). Then was relieved when the professor said that she is recommend me for the prog...

I recently learned UNC had am orthopedic fellowship program. It's 2 years long. I'm also considering the CHS UC fellowship when I'm done with school. Sent from my iPhone using allnurses. Pardon for any misspelled words, I blame it on auto-correct.

Try to understand the concepts instead of memorization. Sent from my iPhone using allnurses. Pardon for any misspelled words, I blame it on auto-correct.
Hey guys, I'm considering switching over to home health. I've been in nursing now for 4 years and have worked in ICU and the ED. I also have a background in respiratory therapy, which I did for 5 years. My current situation is that I will be going to...
