  1. Thank you very much for the info fleour. You're such a big help. :)
  2. Hi Fleour, thank you for the feedback. I'm also from Mindanao specifically in General Santos but currently working here in abu dhabi. can you please give me the email address of US embassy Manila? Actually I was about to give up my US dream when my employer abandoned my petition but my friends in the US are forcing me to push through my application. God bless us all...
  3. hi, I would like to know if someone has given a visa without nclex in US embassy Manila. my PD is 14 April 2006, no nclex and no employer. I opted not to take nclex because my employer told me to take it upon arrival in the US. I was only informed that my petition was abandoned late last year... so sad. I'm now working here in Abu Dhabi...
  4. I passed the moh exam conducted by moh uae here in the philippines last week. does that mean am already a licensed nurse in uae? I have only 1 year and 2mos hospital experience but they allowed me to take the exam, some has no hospital experience. The employer is from fujairah, uae and my interview is tomorrow (January 25), hope I can make it.... Btw, if I'll go in uae as tourist, what is my chance of getting a nursing job? thank you
  5. I need your advice guys....I was about to apply the study and work program in UK (I'm going to work part time as caregiver then the study program will last for 3years). The agency told me that I can work 35 hours per week and can do overtime. My friend in UK said that if I'll go there under student visa, I will be allowed to work 20 hours per week only and will only receive 5-6 pounds per hour. My salary as a caregiver would not be enough to support my expenses there...He suggested not to pursue my plan of going to UK under the student and work program. I inquired also in one of the agencies offering student visa for australia (study and work). The agency was requiring me to undergo a 3months training here in the Philippines (aged care) and the tuition for 3 months training is 309,000 php (excluded the visa and other expenses), plus a show money amounting 1.7million php. I'm going to study for 2 years in australia (aged care) then will work as a caregiver (20hours per week). The tuition fee for the 2 year course is more than 600,000pesos. Actually, I already paid 10,000php for the reservation fee. I was about to start the training when my friend from NZ called me and said that it's not worth it...She adviced me to go to NZ as tourist rather than accepting the offer of the agency for australia....My friend told me that there are plenty of available jobs in NZ but if I'll go there as tourist, there is still no assurance that I will be given a work permit. It's still matter of luck and prayers... I'm really confuse and do not know what to do... I am a nurse by profession and been waiting for my US visa for almost 4 years now. I'm afraid that I will end up in middle east but if I have no other choice, why not? I have the funds but still very difficult to go to oz or nz.....I hope somebody can enlighten me...thank you....
  6. my pd isn't current yet (pd april 2006)
  7. we just received notice that we may only be able to file your forms and nbi certificate before the end of june. will you please update me as to the status of them? if you want me to make the updates to the forms, please e-mail me what they are and i will make them right away and send the forms back to you. just wanna share the email that i received from my lawyer. i am just wondering why the nvc is now setting a deadline. for what? there's no visa available right?
  8. What's your pd? I agree with you...everybody who has a current pd is now required to submit an updated ds230 and new nbi clearance. yes, we need to wait for instruction/s from our lawyers and wait for our cases to be completed for the third time, hehehehe...
  9. I called up the nvc last thursday night and got this message "your lawyer will get an update within 90 days"...I made another call last night (friday night) and the voice prompt changed....I got this message (not the exact words but it goes like this) " some documents are missing, a letter of instruction was sent to your lawyer dated july 07. once we received the documents, give us 6-8 weeks to review your case". why 2007? Anybody here who has the same case with me? I don't know if this is a good news or not, since some documents are missing. these documents may pertain to ds230, nbi, and etc...
  10. sorry for the wrong info, her pd is nov '05...:)
  11. My friend's pd is now current too (nov 06). she was asked by our lawyer to submit a new ds230 forms and photos. I do not know if our lawyer has already received the request from nvc. I'll ask her with regards to this matter, then I'll update you....I agree, lawyers are sometimes moody, but they should be nice because they are paid, hehehehhe....
  12. Sorry, haven't seen your location earlier....hehehehhe....now I know that you're from UK...goodluck!
  13. Congrats! from what country are you? just wondering because if we're going to base your pd to the vb, it isn't current yet, right?....this must be a miracle!:yeah:God has granted all your prayers, I'm happy for you...you're long wait is over and you're about to reap the fruit of your labor....
  14. how are you guys? this thread has been dead for quite sometime...am glad we're back :)...God bless us all!
