  1. Hi guys, I'm sure everyone is aware of this but now El Centro has changed to HESI from the NET exam for application. I'm currently enrolled in Brookhaven but thinking of applying for El Centro's program. There is a HESI study guide in Brookhaven that I can copy, instead of paying $25 dollars at the HESI site as suggested by El Centro's brochure. But are they the same study guides?? Does anyone have the answer to this? Thanks in advance!! :trout:

    North Lake/El Centro - Fall '06!

I attended a Brookhaven information session, I don't think that counts though lol. I do have the ECC application packet, a lady once gave it to me during one of our A&P I SI sessions. Looking at it now, there is definately alot more I have to do! (physical exam, cpr, net, and maybe some other stuff) I think I'll talk with the brookhaven advisor about it.. Thanks everyone, your help is definately appreciated.

Wow thanks for reserving a spot, I'll see if that works ..hmm CPR class? Is that required if you wish to apply for El Centro? And how much devotion for studying would be needed to get a good score for NET? Maybe about 1-2 hours per day for a good 2 weeks? Because I will be taking A&PII for Summer II, and Micro for Fall, I'm not sure how I can manage to study for the NET and turn it in by August 31st. Agh..maybe Fall 2007? lol

Are you applying for Spring 2007 as well? Nice! Just want to make sure something about the NET test..ECC just sees if you passed or not correct? Or do they compare the NET exam as well? Ahh and I didn't realize I actually have to go to El Centro just to SIGN up..I thought that was only required when you are gonna go to take the test..

Thank you for your reply! Recently I've been checking to see if I can find some decent information regarding the NET exam, but I will probably see if I can buy a study guide at a bookstore or something. Since the filing period for Spring semester is August 31st, would it be ok if I take the test on, let's say, the 29th and still be able to turn in the application a-ok? :) (You get the results right after you complete the test correct?)

Oh, I just noticed this topic..excuse the other one I posted at >. Right now I'm attending at Brookhaven and was gonna try out for their program..but..compared to ECC, I like ECC better :) I recently completed all but 2 classes, A&PII and Microbiology, and am going to apply at El Centro program for Spring 07 admission. I will not be able to complete the Microbiology prior to application...will I still have a good chance at getting in? (I also got a B in Developmental PSYC..agh) And is the NET test for El Centro JUST reading and math? (plus the stress, etc) As in, no A&P or science stuff? :0
