  1. i work in ohio and our aides do all of the fsbs
  2. night shift on my floor we have never had a cna past 10pm for as long as i've worked there. i wipe every one of my patients butts if need be
  3. i don't think i could ever teach nursing because all i would want to do the whole time is tell my students the truth about how pointless the nursing dx are
  4. in the cincinnati area my mom who has a masters degree in education and has worked at the same catholic elementary school for 16 years only makes $32,000. pretty crappy
  5. a 80 something year old women that had 8 children- most at home- had a prolapsed uterus that she had lived with for at least 30-40 years. basically looked like a large skin covered cantaloupe hanging out of her!

  8. sounds crazy. i put white tape over my last name on my badge just so no one can look me up... you never know now a days
  9. oh no she didn't just tell a dying pt at least you have your health different student (300+ lbs) oh no she didn't just do a bootey dance in a pts room oh no that sitter who is at least 100 lbs more than me didn't just poke my stomach and ask are you pregnant!!
  10. this happened to me as a student, as a pca, and now as a rn. some people just suck.
  11. my first patient was a 21 year old male with full blown AIDS that didn't even go from HIV+ to AIDS but was diagnosed the first time with AIDS. very sad. luckily i had a partner the very first clinical and she was a chatterbox and older so very comfortable talking to patients. i got off easy... i let her do all the talking!
  12. we have one tech on our 24 bed unit and are lucky if she does the 5 baths she is assigned, that leaves 3 out of four patients for the nurses to clean up. wish we could get another tech...
