My nursing background is in high-level medical review for the United States Government as a contractor for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services investigating fraud, waste, and abuse of medical services. For nine years, I routinely created official reports analyzing medical data that was understandable and scientifically oriented for medical communication with federal authorities.

Prior to that position, I worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina as an RN medical reviewer and educator, responsible for determining the medical necessity of services and educating healthcare providers on their denied Medicare claims and what to do to prevent future claim denials.
