Hey there, I’m Kelsey!

I’ve been a Registered Nurse for almost four years. I worked at the bedside on a medical/surgical floor for 7 months and quickly decided the hospital setting was not for me. I then worked in Oncology where I gained experience as an infusion nurse, in phone triage, and as a patient educator for patients newly diagnosed with various forms of cancer. Although I loved the knowledge and experience I gained in the field of oncology, it was ultimately too heart wrenching for me and I was unable to leave my emotions at work. Having always wanted to work with kiddos, I recently (two years ago) have found myself in the pediatric realm of nursing as a school nurse, working at the elementary and middle school levels and absolutely love it! I also have a deep passion for health and wellness, writing, and am a proud new mama to a beautiful baby girl!
