    NYU ABSN fall 2019

I love the theory!! Haha hopefully it does all work out that way. How did you find out when the admitted students days are, btw? And to anyone who has attended an admitted students day already - anything you can share about that? Were there lots of students there? Did they give an acceptance rate or talk about how many applicants have accepted already? Thanks!

    NYU ABSN fall 2019

I've read from people who have been accepted this year, as well as in past threads, that on the day that they receive a decision, both acceptances or rejections, their checklist portal won't load in the morning and they receive a decision around 4pm that day. So far this year decisions have been sent out on Thursday afternoons. And you will see a small purple button "admitted student portal" in the top right corner on your checklist page once a decision is ready for you to view. Seems that people are able to view their decisions by just checking their Albert page at random rather than receiving an official email right away. An email follows the posting of your decision later that same day. Good luck!

Wishing us all (who haven't received a decision yet) the absolute best today!!! Good news is coming! Be sure to share if your checklist disappears and, of course, if you hear back today

Congratulations!!! I also applied "Second Degree Transfer" and have prerequisites to finish before starting the ABSN, if accepted. Would you mind sharing your stats and how many prereqs you have left to finish? Also when did you submit? Thanks!

I did I wanted to apply and get on track for the accelerated program but I won't be able finish my prerequisites in time so it's a great option. How about you?

Some other info worth sharing that I got from the on campus info session is that NYU has 38 clinical site options for students and, of course, their state-of-the-art clinical simulation center is a great hands on resource as well. Half of the clinical hours are done on campus in the simulation center and the other half are off campus in an affiliated hospital. 8:1 student:instructor ratio for simulation center clinicals. 6:1 ratio for off campus clinicals. This program is in the top 10 highest starting salary for nursing undergraduates in the country. They said the average starting salary for their graduates is 85k and that lots of students get highered at NYU Langone after graduation. And lastly, there is the opportunity to study abroad in the winter term in either Buenos Aires or Florence Hope that's helpful info! Good luck everybody! Be sure to post when you get an admissions decision!

Someone who is currently in the program said there are about 150 their cohort. I went to an info session and was told that they have "no seat requirement". So I guess maybe it could vary by term based on how many candidates align with what they are looking for? And no clue about how many applicants but hopefully our presumption that there may be less applicants this term is correct! We"ll see!

Awesome! That's all super helpful information! Happy to hear that working is possible and I will keep an eye out on that portal for my decision! I appreciate you taking the time to share and I wish you all the best with your nursing career!

    NYU ABSN fall 2019

I applied back in February and I did receive an email with login info and access to my "application checklist" at connect.nyu.edu. Does something just pop up on that portal when they've made a decision? And okay, that's fair haha. Hope you are enjoying it most of the time though! Are you or anyone from your cohort able to work PT during the program?

Thanks so much for such a quick reply and for that insight!! ..can't believe some did not hear back until 3 weeks before the start! I was actually wondering where** we view our admissions decision though? If not via email, then on which portal and where exactly? I just want to know where to be checking in the upcoming weeks - thanks! And I hope that the program is all that you hoped it would be!

Does anyone have any insight as to where exactly we will eventually be able to view our admissions decisions? I am assuming that it will be available on the portal with our application checklist but I want to be sure! Any info on this @Bonstemps? Since you have already been through the process. Thanks!
