Taking Nclex, when is license posted online (IL)?

If I remember correctly, you will receive an application in the mail. You will fill it out and mail a check with it. Then you can go to IDPR website to or NURSYS to print your license

Should I Go into Debt for Nursing School?

Have you thought about Public Service Loan Forgiveness? I found myself in a somewhat similar situation. I received my BSN from a private institution and also did my prerequisites at a private institution. When I graduated, I had $51,000 in student loan debt. So I am on an income based repayment plan for 10 years and the rest will be forgiven. Your loans used for nursing education are the only ones that may be forgiven. You must also be employed full time at a not for profit organization the entire 10 years. Look into this and see if this may help you out, but make sure you thoroughly research how the program works before you commit to this.

    I Don't Have Leprosy- Why Can't I Get a Job?

Sorry to hear your troubles in finding employment. Have you considered case management for a hospital? Also, maybe consider OR. It takes a lot of training, but very suitable for nurses who cant do 12hours. I'm not sure where you have been applying, but if you apply in a high shortage area, I'm sure that you may find better opportunities there. Another option is contacting a nurse recruiting agency, especially since you are willing to relocate. You may even be able to get a sign on bonus in the process. Good luck!

How did you get your ER position?

You need to research the level I trauma centers and find out if they hire new grads in your area. My town has two level I trauma centers that hire new grads in the ER. They train you for your trauma certification. You made need to relocate.

Taking Nclex, when is license posted online (IL)?

Illinois no longer issues a paper license. I took my nclex on June 8th. Results were up the next day. I received my paper work for license on June 17th. I mailed my $50 payment on June 24th. I waited and waited for my license to be mailed but never received it. I checked the illinois board of nursing website and it said I was licensed as of July 6th. Funny, because my check was not cashed until July 11th. Anyway, I got my license number from the BON and went on the IDPR site to print my license.
  7. I didn't look until 2 days later, but some if my classmates said it was available after 24 hours
  8. I had taken my nclex on Thurs May 8 at 8am along with several of my classmates. My test ended in 75 questions. I was so nervous because some of my classmates found out they had passed the very next afternoon. I was constantly checking for the quick results on pearson but my exam results were not available. It made me so anxious and nervous, until I found this post. I was not expecting it to work, but I tried it anyway. Contintenal had my test status listed as passed, and pearson still had my results as not available. I am in Illinois. Hope this helps!
