    Lpn to ADN alternate status

I’ve never heard of legitimate Lpn-BSN programs? Not saying there aren’t any. I’m just curious?? That would be excellent. Unless you mean starting from scratch, perhaps?
  2. Hello, if you’ve been accepted please respond on this forum. I just found out I was😀 but I 🤬😡 gotta take med dose calc exam again tomorrow!! & I didn’t do well first time ran out of time. This one gives you even less time to complete exam. If any of you that passed could please mention tips, tricks, main topics to study. I’m good w/ basics. Not so good at the stuff similar to Chemistry/statistics like ratios, solutions, solvents, etc. I just really need to know what to study since I ran out of time on the last 15 questions. I know that’s awful. I’m just kind of blew it. I was so stressed. thanks
  3. Hello, if you’ve been accepted into the LPN/paramedic-RN bridge-mobility program at Calhoun & you passed the med dose calc exam with a 90% or above please message me or respond on this thread ASAP. I’m desperate for help on I’d say the last twenty or so questions from the exam. I ran out of time-didn’t even get to see the questions. I just found out I was tentatively accepted in to the program (Had enough points) but I have to retake the exam & get 90%. I have to take the test tomorrow & I would love some help please on med dose calculation in general. I’ve got the basics down. If your a former Calhoun student and did well on dose calculation exam at Calhoun, please give me some tips and remind me of the topics I need to focus on. thank you so much🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🙏🙏🙏 nicole

    Diabetic Coverage at all activities

yep they are making us do this too. they want us on the bus in the morning at 7AM and then ride afternoon bus till 6pm in addition to every activity, sport, dance, field trip, practice, club, event, etc and its not just diabetics either, lots of other kids as well. They are making us do this w/ any emergency med that can only be given by nurse or parent!! It's the main issue of this school year. It's crazy, school nursing isn't what people think it is anymore at all and it hasn't been for a while. Thats why they have a horrible time keeping us staffed. Staffing is only going to get worse w/ these kind of expectations put on us daily. It's stressful and unfair, we have lives too. There's something that must be done about this issue, because this is going way to far. This is literally impossible to staff in my district. I'm looking around at other jobs at this point. With the expectations of us working 12 hour shifts as a school nurse, mine as well work at hospital. This is very sad when we have to put all our effort into staffing a nurse for all of these after school activities and bus rides. The nurse on the bus would ultimately have to do the same thing the bus driver would in an emergency, call 911.

    Snead State(culman, AL) program

Does anyone know much about the lpn-rn program at snead state? I'm interested in applying and will be applying as soon as application process starts, but I wanted to know if they still have the online mobility option lpn-rn and also what it typically takes to get in as far as grades, etc. Like is it pretty competitive and hard to get in. I've met all minimum requirements of course, but I know thats never enough typically for nursing school programs! Lol Thanks

    lpn-rn calhoun HSV AL spring2019'

Thanks! yes I went the other day. If I was you I would go ahead and apply for the traditional in decatur, at least that way you get a better ideal of the application process and then if you do get accepted you can always decline the spot if you would rather go to Huntsville. They said the Huntsville campus will be opening very soon probably in september, but it sounds like they still have a lot of stuff to work out with that one plus its going to be much smaller. I believe they said they will only have 48 spots to fill at huntsville campus, so it sounds like it will be much more competitive and harder to get into, but either way I wish you the best of luck!! and thank you!

    lpn-rn calhoun HSV AL spring2019'

I'm glad it all worked out for you. I'm starting to get the feeling I might not be getting into the program either at calhoun, but I'll keep hoping and praying and keep my fingers crossed. I'm also applying to sneads LPN-RN mobility program.
