Probation advice when dealing with AR State Board of Nursing.

Published

I have been dealing with the AR board for about 5 years now. It's extremely hard to get information that you need. I wanted to pass on some things that I have learned in hopes that it might help someone.

Drug screens: The tests are done about twice a month on average, monthly lab fee is 125.00, test cost 25 to 38 depending on where you go, you have to check in before 2300, the lab will test for a whole slew of drugs besides the usual ones such as Phenergan.

Non-compliance: if your late for the test, if your urine is dilute, if you failed to notify the board with in two weeks of a narcotic RX, if their special paper isn't signed and sent by the prescriber.

Misc: They may or may not tell you if you failed for up to a year. Nurses have been accused of taking stuff they didn't take. They are months behind in board meetings. They don't want you to know what each option test for. A Psych evaluation costs around 600.00.

A phone app is very quick for checking. I have been accused of testing for Morphine and I'm allergic to it. Do not go to a hearing without a lawyer. All the above is my opinion.

Hi, Baby1720.

Thanks for the info. You are right about finding the info. A map would be nice. Lol.

About the drugs... my doctor prescribed me something for muscle spasms (0.25mg). Should I have my doctor fax proof?
