Private LPN School Atlanta Ga?

The only LPN programs that I'm aware of in GA are offered at various technical schools. I'm going to Lanier Tech. in Forsyth right now. In fact, I was just talking to the head of the nursing department yesterday, and she was telling me that they need more applicants for the Spring class. You have to take the NLN entrance exam and complete a few core classes, but most of the core classes can be completed online. There is no waiting list at this time.

Not sure where you're located, but my advice is to find the closest technical school that offers the program, find out what the pre-reqs. are, and get started! As I mentioned in a previous post, the Hope GRANT (not to be confused with the Hope Scholarship) is offered to all technical school students for tuition and some books.

Thanks alot, How long does their program takes(including pre-reqs?), And from what time to what time is their day and evening program? I have called and e-mailed them for info, but no anwser yet, i have checked out their website and they seem pretty interesting. Iam in Florida Right now but moving to Atlanta, ga in aprox 3-4 months, I dont know if i shouls stay in Florida and finish the 1 year LPN program with Galen College of Nursing > Home , (they have a wonderfull program according to former students), or if i should go to LanierTech or Chattahoochie College in Georgia.

Do you or anyone else know of any online schools where i could take some General Edu courses(pre-reqs) or does it has to be local?

To qualify for the Hope Grant in the state of GA, you have to be a resident for atleast one year. So financially it might make more sense to stay in Florida to get your LPN. But I don't know your circumstances.

I am guessing by now you finished the school. were you able to find a job right after school?
