Hi! just want to know your opinions on this. i had an interview last week for a private duty nurse position. they presented the conditions, the salary would be Php 12,000, it is a 12 hour-shift, 2 times off in three weeks, and the patient is ambulatory. don't you think this is too much for a private duty nurse?

How much is that in dollars? What is the going rate for nurses in the Philippines? Wouldn't it be better than not working at all?

Live-in caregivers don't usually get one week off after 3weeks of work. Last I knew, you would get a weekend off a month, and other caregivers chose to work 3 months straight. It depends on the client and the client's needs. Remember with home care/private duty, the real boss is your client or the clien't's representative(family,POA, etc)

i was referring to a lvn, rn or caretaker who was employed by an agency. i can't discuss employment by the family--many of these jobs pay under the table and the working conditions/hours vary according to the family/pt's needs.

Maybe the OP meant 2 DAYS off in three weeks? She wrote "2 times off in three weeks"...I dunno.

it is good that there's a job offer but my friends who have worked as private duty nurse said that the offer to me is too low, i mean the salary. they were offered around php 15,000 to 18,000 monthly and were given 2 days off per week. that's why im still thinking if im going to accept the job or not.
php 12,000= usd 267 this is monthly....

Sound like an easy job to me; the down side is that you loose your skills.
Anyhow, who care about skills if you make your money!
