Has anyone been required to write their state board in regards to a prior conviction? I have a 10 year old DUI that was dropped to a reckless driving. I honestly feel my drink was "mickied" (not sure if that is the correct spelling there). I hit a parked car. The find was less than $500. The board wants a detailed letter in my own words of the events preceding my accident. Any suggestions as to what to not say, and what to say?

Just be very honest...I had a prior felony conviction that was expunged when applying to sit for my NCLEX PN 2 years ago. I sent in all court documents and explained exactly what had happened at the time. I was able to sit for my boards no problem. The conviction happened when i was 20yrs old and had been expunged for about 9yrs. I just told the truth..thats all you can do...I hope the best 4 U.

Does anyone have a sample letter I can pull from?
