Have any of you ever heard of the prince william school of practical nursing program ? Apparently it is done by the Prince william public schools and will prepare you for the NCLEX exam? I have called to request an application packet and information. I have heard it is not as expensive as the college I am now attending and wished I had found out about this before I made my decision. The classes are 3 hours every day, and 7 hours for clinical days. It would work along better with my schedule(I want to volunteer at the local hospital) For adults it is a 18-month program and I find I will learn more than I would at ECPI. Also I will get clinical experience in the prince william hospital which is one of the main reason's I am looking into the program. I will start working as a nutrition aide hopefully in a couple weeks and volunteer as well. I will definately have to talk to ECPI about transferring and my parents since they are doing the parent plus thing. Hopefully it will all work out for me.
Oh I do have one more question and then I will stop bugging you all. What classes should a LPN take during the preclinical studies? Would it be Fundamentals of nursing, anatomy and physiology, nutrition and pharmacology??? Thanks. I promise I will shut up now and leave you alone :).
