Wow. No one has started such a thread yet?
After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days, apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.
Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week, by the end of April.

That said, it's not a good look for him and he really seems feeble. He needs to retire. Anyway, I'm voting for Kamala anyway, so he still gets my vote.
This is a relatively mild example of his cognitive decline. He does seem enthralled by the audience. However his gait when being led by Obama isn't reassuring. Or the blank stare.

He did the same thing at the Juneteenth celebration at the WH.
You have to wonder who is actually running things. I have a hard time believing it's him.

It's actually hard to watch. I can't hate him because I feel like he's one of my residents. He obviously isn't the one making his own decisions and he doesn't even know it. Clearly being taken advantage of. I guess borderline Senior abuse is perfectly fine to have power and stop Trump. At all cost. To his dignity and the dignity if a nation.
The truth is I find he is a far more kind person than he used to be before the cognitive change. And I don't fully hold him responsible for the terrible things some democrats have done. His family are horrible for allowing this to be done to him.
At the end of the day I think he generally has good intentions, whether that's because of the decline or not. If I had to vote for good intentions and being a nice guy, I'd vote for him. However it comes down to competency, and he has declined. Even if Trump has too, I think Trump has better cognition. If that a personality disorder . Unfortunately there only 2 choices.

Looks to me like Obama wants to get out of there with Joe and have a beer while Joe could be standing for applause? There's a couple of explanations. Mine is that an 82 year old man shouldn't be traveling so much. Remember, 4 years ago, he had to campaign at home? But this isn't like what happened to McConnell. THAT's a freeze.
His opponent late 70's man who has been traveling almost daily speaking to various groups of Americans.
He did the same four years ago while Biden campaigned from home.
Maybe he was weary from it all when he rambled on about sharks and batteries?

Yep two choices.
One choice is Biden who just represented the USA well overseas. He's a wise elder who seems to be mindful that he has this one chance to leave a lasting legacy for his family. It feels like he has confidence in Harris, after mentoring her for 4 years. I trust his judgement.
His opponent is a well known liar and cheat and felon who hasn't ever won a popular vote. That guy is corrupt and, according to project 2025, will change our country into something profoundly different. I don't trust his judgement.
I remember having a conversation with a coworker, mind you I don't go deep into political discussions at work as it's not a good idea, but she brought it up and said she was voting for Trump because Biden is too old. I said "but Trump lies, especially the one about that he won the election". His dishonesty and behavior didn't seem to make a difference to her. To to me will forever baffle me.
Anyway as I've said before as a functioning president Biden is doing well at his job unless of course you don't think he's the one actually in charge even so things are going well. People of course don't like his progressive agenda and I get that.
I told a friend yesterday that I thought it egotistical and selfish that Biden didn't retire. He said perhaps the Democrat machine encouraged him, or at least didn't discourage him, because Trump might be unbeatable otherwise.
WSJ and other commentators and historians are talking that a vote for Biden is a vote for Harris for President. I'm good with that. She is a competent, intelligent, hardworking person. Also she's long been an ally to the queer community. I'm starting to think myself that I'm not voting for Biden, because I really don't want to, I didn't vote for him in the primaries and don't want to vote for him now, so my vote is going to Harris.

Well, this may surprise you...LOL... I don't think he's the one actually in charge, and most things haven't gone well.
If I'm right about other people actually doing the job, no doubt we'll hear about someday after he's out of office. Probably in the form if a book and book tour by the author. We'll see.
I'm not sure what proof there is that Harris is all those great things you said. Hasn't done much on migration and the border. Her approval rating has improved though, recently. Into the high 30's.

I'll bet he was. He's too old to keep up the schedule he keeps since he's already a winner:) No presidential candidate should be rambling about sharks and batteries but rambling is pretty much his entire skill set available to him anymore.

What could she do about immigration? The Republicans aren't interested in immigration reform because 1. A democrat might make Trump look weak and 2. American corporations thrive and are addicted to cheap labor. The Repubs certainly would die before they would cooperate with a black, female Democrat. That'll never happen.

I was wondering what happened. She simply thought, "what can I do?", for those reasons you said. And, so then nothing was done.
Thanks for filling me in.
