Wow. No one has started such a thread yet?
After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days, apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.
Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week, by the end of April.
Beerman said:That actually was more of a shot at Snopes. Some here have in the past cited them as though they are a credible non-biased source. They revealed themselves in a obvious way here.
This was actually a old-school funny Biden gaffe. Not the tragic senile type we've seen of late.
I'm amazed how many are offended that it was brought up.
I don't get it.
Snopes corrected itself over a simple error about how a safety helmet was set up (probably for someone that has to wear a face shield or something) and Trump supporters see it as a conspiracy to cover for a Biden gaffe.
It's so formulaic that your assessment is that wondering about elevation of this nonsensical story is evidence that we are "offended". Or is it me specifically that you think is offended? Why would I, or anyone else in these threads, be offended by your criticisms of Biden? Are your remarks intended to be insulting or annoying to us or me? I will admit to being amused sometimes by the clumsy projections of Trump's disqualifying character flaws onto Biden, but offended? Nah, I'm not in a cult.
Beerman said:That was really more of a shot at Snopes than Biden. See my reply to TMB.
You actually believe Biden consciously decided to put it on backward and it just wasn't a Bidenesque gaffe?
Yeah. I think he picked it up and put it on with the bill in the front, on purpose. It was set up to be worn with the bill in the back, like a welder might wear it, so Biden put it on wrong.
I don't get why you are criticizing Snopes. Maybe you could explain.
Hi Daisy! Welcome back!
I read your linked article. It's rather apocalyptic, isn't it?
If I remember correctly, the border has been of major concern for you in the past. Do you agree with the former president in urging Congress to not pass funding to assist at the border? Are you in favor of drowning people seeking asylum, or should we just shoot them in knees?

Well, why we wait for responses to your questions, I feel like I want to explain a bit about why I'm voting for Biden.
1. He's not trump.
2. Biden is a better manager than trump.
Every nurse here can immediately tell when the shift is being run by an experienced charge nurse who can get shyte done. I've lived through 4 years of trump and 3 years of Biden. I have a work history that goes back 60 years with every kind of manager you could imagine. trump is dangerously incompetent manager.
3. Biden's behavior around reproductive rights shows me that he can separate his personal faith from the work of policy-making.
trump has no faith and lies about it. The lies vary, of course, depending on his audience. I do not trust him to stop selling us out to Christian nationalists. "Rights for me but not for thee".
The list doesn't stop here, but I'm tired and need to stop writing for a bit. Back to the scandal of hats worn backwards ...
Biden's need to please the climate zealots will cost jobs and threaten the economy and security of our country.
"The decision is complicated because Biden has praised U.S. exports in the past. But he has faced strong criticism from environmental groups who worry about the rapid expansion of LNG exports in recent years and question Biden's commitment to phasing out fossil fuels such as oil and gas. U.S. oil production has surged since Biden took office."

It's started. Biden has a good amount of money to spend on talking to the voters.

Blah, blah, blah. We have new green jobs the didn't exist 10 years ago. It's time for the pil and.gas industry to wake up from their long, dumb sleep. Capitalism at work. We will need pil and gas for years ahead and probably forever for some things. They won't starve. Maybe the will have to shrink their pay offs to Congress but we'll be fine.

Do you see a good reason then for him to delay our exporting of LNG? If you do, clue me in.

QuoteClimate change impacts our economy, health, well-being, security, and quality of life. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the cost of climate and weather disasters in the United States last year totaled more than $165 billion—the third most costly year on record. And this cost fails to capture the devastation from lives lost, the toll on our healthcare, and the impacts on American families and communities upended and displaced by increasing climate crises. As temperatures continue to increase—causing more severe heat waves, coastal flooding worsened by sea-level rise, and other natural disasters—the costs of climate risk will likely continue to rise in the coming years.
Perhaps, when the corporate parasites get their export permits, they could use the profits from those exports, along with higher energy prices in the US, to offset that $165 billion bill from 2022. Once they get that taken care of, they can pick up the tab for the hottest year ever recorded: 2023.

Pandering to the climate change zealots in a election year.
This action will have ZERO effect on climate change.

Welcome back.
House Republicans have introduced articles of impeachment for Mayorkas. They'll campaign on that rather than vote to pass immigration legislation, in order to appease their preferred candidate who wants to campaign on border and immigration grievance. So far, they haven't quite figured out how to turn no evidence of high crimes or misdemeanors into a Biden impeachment, but give them time. They'll make something up before November.
What dog and pony shows are you talking about? Can you be specific?
Beerman couldn't explain how Snopes was covering for Biden, can you? I'll admit, I have my doubts.
