Hey,I am starting NS this fall and I have been pretty busy. I took my CPR class, purchased my uniforms, got my physical, I started learning dosage clac.,learned how to take blood pressure, etc. I cannot wait till school starts! Is anyone else getting ready for NS? I just figured it would be a good idea to get some extra things done befoe I start school. My school does not teach dosage calc. it is something you have to learn on your own and make a 90% or better on the test. I could not imagine trying to learn it while trying to study other materials!!Goodluck to everyone and if anyone else has something to add-please do so!

I was just as excited as you are when I found out I was entering nursing school. Now we are moving so quickly (I am in a 14 month acclerated BSN program) that I don't have time to stop and enjoy it.

And an FYI, not many schools (that I know of anyway) actually teach med math anymore. They sort of expect you to learn it and start applying it. Our school at least setup this online program for us and we have to take online med calc quizzes every week. Med calculations are the least of our worries though.. haha.

I'll be starting nursing in fall.

I've been going on a lot of trip with my husband. :)

I know that when nursing starts, I wont be able to this :(

Give your entire house a good, thorough scrubbing, because it'll be a good two years before you do it again.
