Anybody use this for the nclex and pass i dont like the format of saunders so big and boring ?

I am using it right now but I will take my test this Sat. 3-21. I was wondering myself how it compares to other books. It seems to be a bit harder but I am not sure.

Hey, whatever works for you. If you are learning the material and doing ok on quizzes, then pass the test, you've done well. Everybody should work with the material that seems easiest for them. Good luck.

Well the thing is I would rather study from a book that is similar to the actual test not an easier book. Actually if I have a more difficult book I will be happy because then I would think I am getting a better study at a higher level. Just curious how it compares to Saunders which most people seem to have. Thank you.

I didn't mean easier in that way. I meant a book that the individual finds easier to work with. Different books can have different stylistic ways of dealing with the material. Or the layout of the pages and use of tables and color may make one book better than another for a person. That is what I meant by easier.

That is true. I am really nervous that the day is getting closer and I am hoping this book has prepared me for the test. I haven't had as much time as I wanted because of a change in work hours. I have been reading the chapters in the book and getting 90% of the questions in the back of the chapter correct but when I do the cd i only get 60-80% overall. I am trying to hit my weak points. I know I do not know the medications as well as I should. I am just going to continue until Thursday and get a good night sleep and rest on Friday and take the test on Saturday. Today I will try to make some last flash cards with most common meds on them and read through them every few hours. Thanks for the response.

Sound like a plan to me. You seem to be more prepared than you think you are. Good luck.

I am nervous because I feel I rushed through this year at school and wished I had more time to learn the meds and labs. My life has been hectic and had to work more than I expected. I had no choice. My instructor would keep asking me if I dropped some of my work hours this past year because she knew i was rushing to cram for tests and do homework. I have to pay rent and the tuition and all.

Thank you so much for the encouragement and kind words. Hopefully soon I will be a nurse :nurse:.

Yes, soon this will be all behind you and you can move on.

Hey there. I used this book mostly for the content review. Less questions compared to the Saunders, but I thought it was more detail. I think this book help me pass NCLEX. I did also take Kaplan. The course help with test taking strategies and more NCLEX type questions.

Well I hope this helps.

I thought about getting saunders also. I just stuck with the 6000 questions on the cd that came with the book. I hope that is ok. It is Thurs and I have my test on Sat. Too late to start with Saunders huh.
