I've been in IR for about a year and a half now and recently found out that I was pregnant. Is it safe at all to work in IR while I'm pregnant? I need to know because I just got hired in an IR outpatient center and don't know what to do.

May 15, 2012 Your safety and that of your baby is of the utmost importance.Go to your manager TODAY and inform him/her that you are pregnant.There *should* be a departmental/institutional plan to protect pregnant employees who routinely work around radiation.Good luck to you!
