Preeclampsia Nursing Diagnoses help?

Published

Hello everyone,

I am a little stuck on developing a nursing diagnoses for my 35 week preeclampsia patient. The patient has elevated BP, AST, ALT, HR, and RR. The patient also reports abdominal pain w/compliant of headache. The nurse attempts to check BP and upon removal of the cuff, the patient has a seizure.

The only diagnosis I can think make sense would be risk for maternal injury but I'm stuck on where to go from here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I may be wrong here - OB nsg study some 45 yrs ago. But I think your pt is no longer PRE-eclamptic.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
