A few of us were commenting that we need to lose a significant amount of weight. Let's team up and cheer each other on to lose weight, exercise, and get healthy!! We can do it!! :pumpiron:

We can take it 5 or 10 pounds at a time so those of us with a lot to lose won't get discouraged. We can officially start April 1st so everyone can prepare and get their last binges out of the way. :roll

Everyone is welcome!! Let's take back control of our lives and get healthy!! Who is in?! :)

I don't have weight to lose but would like to join anyway - I do have high BP, and for being 27 and not overweight at all I need to figure out why. I cut down my salt a couple years ago, with no effect, and have been able to cut down but not quit smoking. I'm on medication for the BP now, but the first one didn't work and the second had horrible side effects. Now I'm back on the first until I can get in to see my NP again on April 2. We normally eat relatively healthy - at least it's a lot of veggies and I cook almost every night - and recently bought a stationary bike but I haven't been motivated in a couple of weeks. Anyone else with high BP - what worked for you? I also heard about a new smoking cessation drug - Chantix (sp?) - that my NP said is better than Wellbutrin. I think I may try when I start nursing school in May...

3 words that will change your lives and I know it did for plenty of others and is on tv to prove it. "FAT SMASH DIET"! by Dr. Ian Smith! He is the Dr on the VH1 reality show Celebrity Fit Club and it's worked and actually gotten rid of people that needed to lose weight and get their BP down and everything. It is wonderful. Two different websites, his official website is www.fatsmashdiet.com and then there is a forum like this www.fatsmashforum.com it is fantastic. PLEASE check it out..Read the testimonials. They all have tried Jenny, WW all that stuff. It is easy..Believe me, if I did it, you all can do it. I tried to get my mom on it, she's over 50 an overweight and smokes and has High BP..but there is sooo many women on there over 50 and high BP and they can testify that it has helped them. So ladies, PLEASE at least check it out. I wanted to lose 25lbs when I started in Sept and got down 13lbs by Halloween and I should've kept it going but like I said before the holidays got the best of me. :trout: If you can go w/ just eating Veggies and Fruit and water and some brown rice, yogurt, egg whites and all the beans you want for the 1st 9 days and then add ur meats on the 10th day and some cheese, I really suggest it to all of you. If you have anymore questions email me @ [email protected]. I will be happy to help you. I'm going to start on Monday, I would wait til the 1st but I have been going wild since I got better, i had the flu for like 4 days and couldn't eat anything I wanted. Lost 6lbs..lol. Not a good way though. So what do you say ladies?????? Give it a try? I promise you'll love it. Go check out the Forum for it. You'll see how great they are all feeling and it gives you so much motivation..When I fall off, i read it and I'm like wow! SO let me know...Good Luck and I'm here for you. I will be splurging on the food until after I take My NLN tomorrow..I'm stressing...I'm not doing too good on the practice tests in the book...I missed 78 questions..not good. :nono: This has nothing on the subject we're on..I'll post a different thread. Good Luck!

Thanks cinqly!! Congrats on changing your life. That is wonderful. You sound proud and should be. Pls feel free to cheer us all on every month. That really helps!!

Thank you, and I am proud! When you feel great and look good to boot, it can make a huge difference in your life! And I can be a great cheerleader, so prepare to be totally motivated! bounce016.gif

One thing that I do is measure myself every month. When the pounds slow up it is nice to see the inches continue to come off.

This is what I do as well. It is an EXCELLENT way to mark progress!!! I measure myself about every 4 weeks to make sure that I am staying on track and meeting my goals. I threw the scale out the window a looooong time ago! Those numbers don't mean anything, and they just make you anxious.

Hey guys! Im slowly packing on the pounds! I could lose around 10-15 also!

COUNT ME IN!

What i dont understand right now is how come I pack on the pounds, even if i eat get to eat one major meal. Im zoning in on my sedentary lifestyle!

Count me in. I'd to lose 50 to 60lbs myself. I'm also dealing with high cholesterol right now as well. No meds yet b/c my Doc feels that it can still be controlled with diet and exercise. I'm definitely going to look into the Fat Smash diet. Good luck everybody!

I googled the Fat Smash Diet and found an article on the Dallas Morning News. For some reason I don't understand, it won't let me cut and paste the url. But if you go to www.dallasnews.com and search for Fat Smash Diet, you'll get 4 or 5 articles pop up. The one I like was dated Oct 19, 2006. I've never heard of this method, but after reading the article, I'll be researching it some more.

Hey everyone, count me in on April 1st as well!! I'm new here, applying to start nursing school in January '08 and have about 120 lbs. to lose. Glad to hear I'm not alone. My son died in 2002 and I gained more than 80 lbs. to the 40 lbs. I already had been carrying. I am so sick of being fat and want to lose most of this weight before I start school and my new career.

I'm so glad to have this forum and glad we can all lean on each other. Here's to less of us!! :D Good luck everyone!

Cheryl

Count me in! I have been trying to lose weight for two years now. I start out doing really great....but then I somehow relapse!! I need to lose 20 pounds. Maybe I will be able to finally fit back into those jeans that I refuse to get rid of!!
