What's your schedule like next semester?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Specializes in CNA, RN Student.

So I just finished rearranging and working out my schedule and I think I'm done. I have a pretty hefty load next semester mostly because I'm really pushing to try to get in by Fall (07) and my CC goes by points so I really need to squeeze the points in. I think I can manage.

My schedule looks like this:

Monday-A&P II lab

Tuesday- Com, & A&P lecture

Wednesday- CNA clinical from 7am -3pm, CNA lecture from 5-8pm

Thursday-Com, CNA lab, A&P lecture

Fridays I have off and I take Sociology online

I just want to know that there are other pre-nursing students out there that are attacking a heavy load next semester so I don't feel like I'm insane!

What's your schedule like?

Count me in! I have 5 classes left to go in order to finish my pre-reqs and I'm hoping to get into a program for Fall '07.

I'm taking both day and evening courses that span Monday through Saturday. The Wednesday night/Saturday class is just an 8 weeker, so once that's over with I'll only have 4 classes to deal with for the other 8 weeks left in the semester. I'll be taking General Chemistry I and Lab, Physiology, Child Psychology, Ethics and Statistics.

Specializes in Medical-Surgical, Hemodialysis.

Yikes! Mine is a bit crazier than I like. Two of my classes are Mod I classes so they only meet for the first half of the semester.

Two days of labs? I've never had that before. But, I do have Fridays off so I can study. And no classes before 10am and Monday's first class starts at noon. I will be working 2 12's every weekend. Doesn't leave much room for fun. That's why I planned a spring break vacation to San Diego. Figured I'd need the beach after all of this.

AP is the only pre req, the other two are on the schedule as part of the program. Just dropping the first year from 16 hours to 13 per semester.

I'm not stressing this load at all.

I'm not stressing this load at all.

One of the biggest lessons I learned this semester is that I cannot get any studying done at home, so in light of that I have decided to take all evening classes.

Monday: Spanish 6-8:45

Wednesday: Microbiology 6:30-10:15 (with lab)

Thursday: Elements of Chemistry and Physics 4-7:50 (with lab)

Saturday: A&P II 8-10:50 and 12-2:50 (lab)

I find out in March or April wether or not I have been accepted into the program, and I really hope I do or else why am I bustin' my butt?

Specializes in none but hope to have one soon.

Wow, you guys are really working your tails off! I am carrying a light load in the spring. I am taking tu&th A&P Lec 4-5:15 and Lab 5:30-6:45 and an online Intro to Sociology.

Specializes in SRNA.

Finished all my pre-reqs 'cept Physiology (here in So. Cal its a separate 4-unit course). So thats lecture M/W and lab Wed. evening. Also, I'm retaking Stats to refresh my memory and my GPA, as its been 5 years, it was my favorite type of math course. I'd rather take that than Calc. ANY day!

Also taking a Genetics/Evolutionary Biology class with my former Anatomy professor, just for kicks.

I'm banking on keeping my 4.0 for my pre-reqs at the end of this semester, wish me luck, and good luck to you all that are juggling a much more challenging course load. ;)
